This month you will find a Jim Redgate (this one is on hold but the next one still available) the graal of the classical guitar. We have discovered 2 fantastic double-tops from luthiers who will soon become legendary : Vincent Humml and Johannes Kitselis. Last, if you like the Simon Marty guitars and the Greg Smallman guitars, you should have look at the Dan Kellaway guitar. If you are dreaming for a wonderful traditional guitar, here is the guitar from Giuseppe Guagliardo.

The last classical guitar from Dan Kellaway was a killer .. This new spruce top is astonishing. Dan describes his guitars as being an in-between between the Greg Smallman and the Simon Marty. The guitar is surprisingly lighter than the usual lattice and has a very natural sound with however deep basses.

Philippe and I played 10 years ago on Jim Redgate’s guitars and getting in our showroom a brand new guitar from Jim was for us our Holygraal! As the # 420 that Jim brought last year, this No 493 is a true dream guitar. The guitar is loud, warm, has great dynamics but remains traditional sounding. The body is as light as a traditional guitar which gives a true pleasure for the player. A super light lattice guitar for a huge sound and a great pleasure.

Vincent Humml is part of what I will call the new second generation of builders. His guitars are one step ahead of the original double-tops made in Germany by Gernot Wagner and Matthias Dammann in the ’80s. The sound is pure, loud, very thick, and elegant.

we have been very happy to discover the luthier Johannes Kitselis who is making wonderful double tops. Johannes is based in Sweden and his guitars are loud, balanced with a very traditional voice. The craftsmanship is superb. I will advise you to carefully listen to Philippe’s video presentation, you won’t regret it.

It is not that often that we are listing a traditional braced guitar. However, here is a great guitar from Italy made by Giuseppe Guagliardo. It is a traditional braced guitar made in the pure traditional tradition. The guitar is loud enough to perform a concert and is offering a sweet sound with a huge string separation and thick and balance between brightness and warmness. The sound is crystal clear and the playability is amazing.
