Once again a young very promising luthier from Milano Italy. Gerardo Centonze is making guitars inspired by the Torres but with a lot of dynamics and a long sustain. His building philosophy is inspired by the great Spanish school. Great attention is also paid to details, as it also emerges in the aesthetic choices. His guitars aim at meeting a more contemporary taste. All the instruments are French polished. The Italian luthiery school at its best with a Spanish sound : round, sweet, warm,…

If you asked to most of the luthiers who was the real guitar makers who really count in the guitar history, they will of course mention Antonio Torres and of course Ignacio Fleta (1897-1977). Ignacio Fleta has been starting to build guitars and Andres Segovia in 1957. The 60’s are known as being the best period for the Fleta guitars. Domenic Roscioli has been working on his Fleta model since he has been making guitars.

Very rare: a cedar top concert model from Hideo Sato! The cedar brings a lot of overtones and strong dynamics. The guitar is a traditional braced guitar but which is not that much traditional (the bracing is a pure invention from the Sato Family) and to us the sound is much closer in volume to a double-top or a lattice guitar. The tone colors are thus very traditional but with huge dynamics. The sound is very close to the ones of Kazuo Sato (his father) but with a little bit more dynamic. It is a dream guitar!

There are a lot of excellent luthiers in Italy. and we found for you a young talent making traditional guitars with a pure lovely sound and as well great dynamics: Eugenio Naso from Bologna. The limited edition is made exclusively for the 2022 luthier Roma Expo Guitars – REG. Amazing spruce with bearclaw and cocobolo rosewood back and sides. You will love it. Pure warm sound with a loud sound.

Michael Cadiz is a luthier – raised in the US and based now in Austria – who has mostly 2 types of models: the ones which are very close for some iconic guitars such as Romanillos or Hauser, and one Concert model which is including his own take of the work of a lot of different luthiers. This Michael Cadiz guitar is what I would call a ‘modern’ traditional guitar offering a big voice with deep basses and sprucy crystal-clear trebles. The playability and the craftsmanship are top-notch for a light 1.5 kg guitar.
