Dear friends,
|
|
As you know we love the doubletop guitars and we are not the only one as most of the concert players (David Russell, Jason Vieaux Marko Topchii, Sharon Isbin, Gabriel Bianco). Why ? just because they provide everything a musician needs : loudness, musicality and balance. Here is a selection of few our the DT available in our showroom part one, a second newletter will follow as well. Hope you like it. Take care

A bientôt André & P hilippe

Many luthiers are switching from traditional to DT classical guitars. It is true that there is some proximity in the construction of traditional guitars and doubletops. And indeed, one can think that to produce a doubletop and enjoy an extra volume, you just have to replace the traditional top with a sandwich top using Nomex and that the trick is done! Of course, that is not so simple.

We have been waiting for it for many years and finally, our Felix Muller double-top guitar arrived. Felix is a young German builder who is building guitars strongly influenced by the work of his father Antonius Muller.

Surely the best Fleta-inspired guitar we got from Domenic Roscioli so far !As you know we do sell very few traditional guitars apart from Daniel Friederich guitars and are offering mostly modern guitars such as double-top and lattice. So why did we change our mind and propose a Fleta-inspired model… simply because we have been blown away by this No 188 Fleta-inspired of Domenic Roscioli. The sound is simply marvelous and the guitar a joy to play.

Valentim Carlos Gomes is a very Brazilian luthier making Daniel Friederich and Herman Hauser replicas. Here is an amazing Herman Hauser replica which is surely one of the sweetest traditional guitars that we ever played. The guitar is super light and offers crystalline and pure trebles supported by direct and spontaneous basses which are pretty deep. As a result, the guitar is sweet with a great balance between the basses and the trebles, the sustain is amazing and the overall sound is clear and deep.
