Dominique Delarue is a renowned French Luthier who is surely considered as one of the best luthiers of the French lutherie school. His guitars are inspired by the work of Daniel Friederich and could be considered as quite close to the Friederich despite the fact that Dominique Delarue said that he was as well highly inspired as well by the work of Ignacio Fleta. The No 397 is in close to brand new condition. Here are some videos which give you an idea of how this Delarue sound. I have attached as well for those who want to have more information on the Friederich/Delarue comparison a video that compares a 2001 cedar Delarue against a 1970 spruce Friederich. That is comparing cats and dogs knowing that in addition, the 2018 Delarue are different from the ones of 2001 (louder with stronger basses).
The craftmanship is very classy although simple. The sound has a great dynamic which has always been the characteristic of the Delarue guitars, some will say that the dynamics are greater than on the Friederich. A great balance with a sweet sound from the spruce.
A rare opportunity to get a high-class traditional French guitar in close to perfect condition at a lower price !
