Inspired by a Friederich bracing, this guitar combines the best of Italian craftsmanship with the expertise of the French master.
The sound of this instrument is powerful, with excellent sustain, rich in harmonics but with the silky side of spruce. he projection is truly astonishing (as was that of some Friederich guitars) and rivals that of many double-tables, yet with an infinite palette of nuances.
All Donatella’s instruments are carefully designed down to the smallest detail, with particular attention paid to the comfort of the neck and fingerboard, to minimise stress on the left hand.
Here are a few biographical details about Donatella Salvato:
Donatella Salvato comes from a family of experienced woodcarvers and incisors. She has a degree in graphic arts and studied cello at the conservatory in Padua. She worked as a cabinetmaker for 25 years, broadening her skills to include all aspects of woodworking. Donatella Salvato draws her inspiration from the great luthiers of the past, reworking their models according to her instincts and today’s specific sound requirements. By studying and comparing various construction procedures and techniques, she has developed her own models. She carries out all her work in her own workshop, where each element is meticulously tested, also using scientific instruments. She uses only the finest quality wood.
