Julien Garcia lattice 2026 No 42 – France
In 2025, we offered you Julien’s No. 32, which we discovered at the Valence Festival. The sound was magical, so we commissioned him to build a new guitar for 2026 that offers greater dynamic range and can rival the best Australian lattice guitars in terms of volume. This has been achieved with this 2026 No. 42 guitar: the sides and back have been “structured” with multiple layers of wood—5 mm and 8 mm—and the guitar has gained an extra kilo. The guitar’s geometry has been redesigned to amplify the vibrations of the top. The result is surprising and positions this new Grand Concert model by Julien Garcia as undoubtedly the best French lattice guitar. The sound is absolutely beautiful. To achieve this, all the components have been carefully thought out:
– a curved / arched top to amplify the sound resonance
– reinforced ribs to harden the sides and concentrate energy on the soundboard
– a fairly wide all-wood lattice bracing
– an interior varnish
– a fingerboard with a compound radius
– cellulose varnish
– Alessi tuners
The result is a guitar that’s as musical as you want it to be, that ‘responds’ to every demand, and that’s elegantly crafted.
