Lineu Bravo is an experienced and well-known luthier in Brazil, based in Sorocaba, 500 km from San Paolo. His guitars are renowned and played by many professional guitarists. Lineu describes himself as a pragmatic luthier, and his guitar is inspired by the guitars of Antono Torres by its light construction – the guitar is very light – and by the choice of maple. It’s surprisingly easy to play, with a neck that’s C-shaped rather than U-shaped, and a pitch of 64.8 cm. Roundness and depth of sound are the hallmarks of this guitar, which will appeal to all players looking for a traditional colour with great dynamics.
Lineu Bravo is a Brazilian guitar maker in professional activity since 2001, although he started amateur building musical instruments in the early 80’s.
His restless research on classical historical guitars led him to develop his own “plantilla” with very consistent results on traditional guitar building.
Many important Brazilian – but not only – guitarists have been playing his instruments over the last decades, like Marco Pereira, Yamandú Costa, Edson Lopes, Guinga, and many others
