Luthier Jean-Noël Rohé 2014 No 65 – France

Jean-Noël Rohé started to build guitar in 2001. At that date, he met Dominique Field who inspired him making guitars. However, this 2014 Rohé has more to share with a Daniel Friederich than a Dominique Field – Dominique Field guitars have changed a lot in 2011 and the new ones are very much different from the ones of the 2000s. Jean-Noël guitars are looking like a Friederich (same headstock shape but without the engraved design, same back and sides, even the 12th fret is located outside the body like on the Friederich). Of course Jean-Noël sound is slightly different from the Friederich sound: slightly warmer and sweeter.

That is definitely a modern take of the Friederich guitar made by a great luthier.
