Marie Lequeux, who has a background in science, graduated from the renowned Newark School of Stringed Instrument Making in Great Britain. She shares her “Atelier des Urselines” workshop in the Doubs region with Pierre-Antoine Buffet, a luthier from the quartet. Marie crafts high-quality concert guitars that are prized for their precision, musicality, and elegance. The bracing is traditional and partly inspired by the bracing of Daniel Friederich’s guitars.
A new representative of French guitar making, this guitar is powerful and offers a wide range of sounds. It has it all: sustain, harmonic resonance, depth of sound, brilliance, and roundness.
As you know, we specialize in double-top and lattice guitars. However, over the course of our encounters, certain traditional guitars have impressed us with their sound quality and musical potential. This guitar by Marie Lequeux is one of them; it is one of the best guitars made in France today.
