Stephan Connor is a renowned American luthier who makes lightweight guitars with an all-wood lattice top (no carbon or balsa). The aim is to achieve more power while retaining a woody tone. This 2023, like all the Connors, has a big, immediate direct sound – due to the light structure – but with a clear, traditional color. Its guitars are played by famous guitarists (Anabelle Montesinos, Marco Tamayo, or Eliot Fisk) who favor power and a certain immediacy.

Stephan Connor is one of the few American luthiers to use a lattice bracing system. He is renowned for his powerful, clear guitars. This a unique opportunity to acquire an exceptional instrument without waiting two years of waiting.
Unlike Australian-style lattice bracing – a solid body with a thin top and balsa and carbon backings – the aim of which is to increase the thickness of the sound, Stephan Connor’s guitars are light and favor immediate projection. The absence of carbon and balsa gives his guitars a traditional, fairly clear color and a nice separation of voices.
Stephan Connor offers a wide variety of woods and rosettes to personalize the aesthetics of its instruments. This 2023 has a cedar top and Indian rosewood body, which are quite reasonable, based on recognized acoustic values.
