Unlike the new 2025 DTs, this 2021 is still one of the most powerful and natural guitars in the showroom. Zero flaws, an impressive generosity of sound, stunning lutherie, powerful with a ‘heavy’, creamy tone and a beautiful balance between roundness and clarity. A bargain not to be missed.

Charalamps Koumridis guitars are among our best-sellers. They are ideal for the most ‘traditionalist’ of guitarists, who are looking for the sonic beauty of great traditional guitars with an almost limitless reserve of power. The lightweight design incorporates balsa as well as nomex in the top. As a result, the instrument is easier to handle and more comfortable to play. The power and dynamics are impressive, and the sound remains natural. There are no faults, the sound is impressively generous, and the luthier’s workmanship is superb: powerful, with a ‘heavy’, creamy sound and a fine balance between roundness and clarity. Unlike German double tops, its double tops have laminated ribs (like the Friederichs) and the bracing is made of balsa wood to add a little sparkle. Charalampos Koumridis is a Greek luthier who makes stunning, innovative classical guitars with a focus on musicality. Charalampos Koumridiis is without doubt our discovery of 2017. Just when we thought we knew all the ‘great’ European luthiers, we discovered Charalampos Koumridis, a luthier who makes everything from top-quality traditional guitars to double-tables and lattices. All his guitars are surprisingly musical, and Charalampos manages to ‘erase’ the typical sounds of double tops and lattices, leaving only the added power and musicality.
