Youri Soroka DT balsa core 2026 No 79 – France
Following on from the No. 76 double-table, which was only here for a few days, Youri Soroka now presents a DT featuring balsa wood. More natural and powerful, it will appeal to all guitarists seeking a powerful and ultra-responsive sound with a wide dynamic range, a fine balance between bass and treble, and long sustain and harmonics. In terms of the body, we have some beautiful Madagascar rosewood.
Youri Soroka is a Franco-Ukrainian luthier specialising in double-top classical and concert guitars. He is based in Auvergne. Here is one of his latest double-top guitars.
The top consists of two cedar tops joined together with some bals core in between. This construction lightens the top whilst making it more rigid, offering exceptional freedom whilst maintaining its structural stability over time. The response is immediate, with low resistance to playing and a wide dynamic range.
