Carlos Gomes Valentim is a renowned Brazilian luthier who makes guitars inspired by the work of Daniel Friederich and Herman Hauser. His latest creation is a ‘Tribute to Daniel Friederich’. Without perfect copies, the ‘Hommage à Daniel Friederich’ guitars are very close to the guitars of the French master. What’s missing is the work of time and, of course, the hand of the master. There are beautiful dynamic and high notes characteristic of Friederich guitars. This ‘Tribute to Daniel Friederich’ is number 223/84 – Carlos Valentim has made 84 guitars inspired by Daniel Friederich and has developed real expertise. We were lucky enough to shoot 2 videos comparing 2 guitars from Carlos to reala Daniel Friederich from the 80s, just for you to appreciate the differences.

This Friederich copy blew us away with its sound quality. Of course, Carlos Gomes Valentim followed all the construction instructions: wood thickness, bracing, assembly and gluing. As with all his guitars, he takes great care to select the best wood species, with quarter-cutting.
