Johannes Kitselis’ latest double-tops have been slightly modified: they are more powerful and have greater resonance. The tone is fairly traditional, yet with the dynamic range typical of a double-top guitar; the bass is astonishing. Balanced and elegant: a sure bet. In the world of double tops, we thought we knew all the luthiers, but here’s our latest discovery: Johannes Kitselis is a luthier based in Sweden who makes magnificent, ultra-powerful double tops with a bewitching, traditional sound. This new 2026 edition has been redesigned and modified for greater amplitude of sound. The result is a guitar that offers great dynamics (almost as powerful as our most powerful lattice) and a traditional, balanced sound with just the right amount of roundness and clarity.
