John Price classical guitar No.320 – Australia

This classical guitar from the luthier John Price has been sold.

John ¨Price specializes in making an arched, braceless back guitar, designed to maximise strength and allow better airflow inside the soundbox to enhance the projection of the instrument markedly. It has a ‘focusing’ effect on the classical guitar’s overall sound, and minimizes the dampening effect when the classical guitar is held too close to the body.

John’s classical guitars are played on stages all over the world by such virtuoso as Jorge Morel, Krzysztof Pelech, Rene Izquierdo, Elina Chekan, Ricardo Cobo, Jorge Caballero, Ricardo Iznaola, Ignacio Barcia, Jason Behr, Muriel Anderson, Anthony Bez, Candice Mowbray, George Benson, Andy Summers (the Police).

Argentinian composer/performer Jorge Morel and well known Jazz artist George Benson. Like most of the Australian lattice-braced classical guitars, his guitars features arched back and very thin tops supported with carbon fiber. A magnificent lutherie, a powerful voice which offers a wide range possible sound very warm with a long sustain.

The No.320 lattice guitar from John Price:

The just received this n° 320 with a spectaculare myrtle wood. This lattice classical guitar is even better than the ones we had before. John is always making slight improvements designed to maximise strength and allow better airflow inside the soundbox to enhance the projection of the instrument markedly. It has a ‘focusing’ effect on the classical guitar’s overall sound, and minimizes the dampening effect when the classical guitar is held too close to the body.

An exceptional lattice classical guitar which combines sustain, power, warmness.

If one will be forced to choose … she will be this one .. a balanced lattice astonishing by her musical qualities. Quite light for a lattice – 2,2 kg – with a wide sound range with warm and thick treebles and big bass. The first feeling is the flexibility of the guitar with easy piano and big forte, lots of contrasts and color.
