Very different in design from a Smallman, his classical guitars are lightweight and have unique characteristics: big, deep basses that complement relatively clear highs. Generally speaking, classical guitars have either a dark, muted character – some would say cedar-coloured – or a bright, clear character – typical of spruce. Zbigniew’s classical guitars are unique. They are as powerful as a Smallman and, above all, offer very deep basses that reach deep into the register and trebles that are bright and clear. The result is spectacular: the bass provides solid harmonic support and the treble stands out and pierces the space. The harmonic resonances are there to thicken the sound.

The perfect match! Zbigniew Gnatek is a very good guitarist and former concert performer. He designed a classical guitar to meet his requirements as a musician, and the result is a very light lattice classical guitar, the opposite in terms of lutherie to a Smallman, but with exceptional power and musicality. The basses are deep and powerful, and the highs, with a hint of brilliance, are crystal-clear. The instrument is surprisingly easy to pick up, with the impression that the whole classical guitar is literally vibrating. Zbigniew makes very few concert classical guitars and has a long waiting list. It is advisable to reserve your instrument.
