Video of the Portentosa Grande Furioso from the luthier Dieter Hopf

Many people consider that the lattice guitars have a very special tone which makes them very different from the traditional guitar. In some case that is true but in other cases not at all. The difference between lattice and traditional guitars concerns mostly the sound loudness – both in thickness and duration.

Here we have an amazing lattice guitar which offers the same sound pattern as a traditional guitar but with a much higher volume and as a consequence more possibilities for the players to play with nuances. The extra volume allows the player to compete with any instruments playing chamber music and to express different feelings on his guitar.

The Portentosa Grande Furioso is  one of our prefered guitar for its high class tone color.
