Armen Doneyan began playing at six . In 2008 he joined the Aulnay-sous-Bois Conservatoire à Rayonement Départemental and started in additionto study as well with Judicaël Perroy. Two years later, he passed with success the entry exam of the Paris Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique to study with Roland Dyens and Jean Marc Zvellenreuther. Armen already won several competition prizes : -1st prize at the Ivor Mairants competition (London) 2012 -2nd prize at the Guitar Foundation of America, (USA) 2015 -2nd prize at the Heinsberg competition (Germany) 2015 -2nd prize and audience prize at the Pisa competition (Italy) 2014 -2nd prize, audience prize, and prize for the best interpretation of the set piece at the Antony competition (France) 2015 He created in 2009, with the French cellist Michèle Pierre, the Duo Solea and is touring worldwide. Armen recorded his first CD in canada with Naxos and is sponsored by the Banque Populaire Fondation, and plays Savarez strings.
