Carsten’s double-top guitars are now among the most sought-after instruments. By 2013, the construction of his guitars was already almost identical to what it is today. The sound was already magical. Even back in 2013, the primary quality of this guitar was that it allowed the guitarist to musically express all their musical intuitions.

The luthier, Carsten Kobs, has been making classical guitars since 1991 and double-top guitars since 2008. His instruments are in the pure German tradition of double-top guitars. What is striking is the lightness of the classical guitar; you can barely feel the instrument once it is placed down. Next come the powerful bass notes that form the backbone of the musical expression, the precision of the treble with a touch of brilliance, and finally the immediacy of the sound that bursts forth from the instrument.
